final report card: Top 5 best center fielders of the 2017 season

Hey y’all its me again. I am off from work again today and decided that in order to keep myself occupied I would do some blogging. So here i am taking a break from sitting on my ass watching tv to sitting on my ass blogging. So without further adieu here are the top 5 best center fielders of the 2017 season.

1. Image result for charlie blackmon gifs Colorado Rockies Center Fielder Charlie Blackmon: Okay Charlie 2017 season was pretty epic not gonna lie. He made it to the all-star game, He won the silver slugger award and he was named the 2017 NL batting champion not bad for 2017.

Okay Charlie 2017 slash line was absolutely lethal with a .331/.339/.601 slash line along with an absoutetly phenomenal 1.000 OPS. Charlie also managed to lead the MLB in both hits and runs with 213 hits and a 137 runs. Charlie also got 37 HRs, a 104 RBIs, 387 total bases and 86 extra base runs. Charlie also had an .270 isolated power and a .371 BABIP for 2017 as well.

2. Image result for george springer gifs Houston Astros Center Fielder George Springer: Okay everyone make way for this stud at center field George Springer. George had one hell of a 2017 season. He won the silver slugger award, made it to the all-star game, won a world series and was named MVP for said world series so just like in the gif I am gonna give Georges 2017 season two thumbs up.

George’s put up a stellar .283/.367/.522 slash line and an .899 OPS for 2017. George also got 34 HRs, a 155 hits, a 112 runs, 85 RBIs, 286 total bases and 63 extra base hits. George also got a 106 weighted runs created and a 140 weighted runs created plus for the 2017 season.

3. Image result for andrew mccutchen gif Pittsburgh Pirates Center Fielder Andrew McCutchen: Okay here to talk about my boy cutch aka Andrew McCutchen. The Pirates superstar center fielder was back and better than ever for another epic 2017.

Andrew had a .279/.363/.486 slash line and an .849 OPS for the 2017 season. Andrew also got 28 HRs, 94 runs, 88 RBIs, a 159 hits, 277 total bases and 60 extra base hits for 2017. Sabermetrically Andrew did pretty well in 2017. He got an 3.7 WAR (wins above replacement) and a 11.2 walk percentage for the 2017 season.

4. Image result for mike trout gifs Los Angeles Angels Center Fielder Mike Trout: Okay despite missing 39 games in the 2017 season due to a thumb injury and playing a career low 114 games since his first full season in 2012. mike still had an absolutely killer 2017 season. He made it to the all-star game but did not participate due to the aforementioned thumb injury.

Despite the injury mike still managed to put up a fantastic .306/.442/.629 slash line and an MLB leading 1.071 OPS for the 2017 season. Mike also got 33 HRs, 92 runs, a 123 hits, 72 RBIs, 253 total bases and 61 extra base hits for the 2017 season. Mike also did pretty good on the sabermetric side of the game in 2017. getting a 1.0 UBR (ultimate base running) and an MLB leading .437 weighted on base average.

5. Image result for Christian Yelich gifs Miami Marlins Center Fielder Christian Yelich: Okay Christian was notable for killing it in baseball in 2017 but not in the MLB but in the world baseball classic where he was named to the all world baseball classic team.

Christians 2017 stats were pretty good he got a .282/.369/.439 slash line and an .807 OPS in 2017. Christian also got 18 HRs, 81 RBIs, a 170 hits, a 100 runs, 264 total bases and 56 extra base hits. Christian also got a 88.4 zone contact percentage and a 79.6 contact percentage for the 2017 season.
