Hey y’all how is everyone doing on this fine ass #sundaybloodysunday. Anyone hear about Athletics pitcher Sean Manaea no hitter against the Boston Red Sox. Pretty crazy it was the first no hitter for the A’s since Dallas Braden 2010 perfect game against the Tampa bay rays. But either way I was thinking of what to write about and I just figured why not something simple like the current best starting pitchers. So enough chitchat how about we jump right into this. So without further adieu here are the top 5 best starting pitchers so far this season

1.  San Francisco Giants Starting Pitcher Johnny Cueto: Okay first up on this list is an extremly undervauled and underrated starting pitcher. Since the 2011 season Johnny Cueto has the second lowest ERA out of any starting pitcher right next to the one and only Clayton Kershawg with a 2.90 ERA. So far in the 2018 season Johnny has made 3 starts for the giants and has pitched a total of 20 innings so far and has faced a total of 71 batters so far this season. Currently Johnny has gotten a 1-0 record, 16 strikeouts, an 0.45 ERA and an 0.65 WHIP. Johnny has also gotten a 22.5% strikeout percentage along with 7.2 strikeouts per ever 9 innings pitched and an 8.0 strikeout to walk ratio. Not to bad for the 2018 season

So far for the 218 season rick has made 4 stars, pitched a total of 25.2 innings and has faced a total of 100 batters so far this seaason. In those 4 starts rick has gotten a perfect 4-0 record, a 1.40 ERA, 23 strikeouts and an 0.82 WHIP. Rick has also gotten 23.0 Strikeout percentage, 8.06 strikeouts per every 9 innings pitched as well as an 23.00 strikeout to walk ratio for the 2018 season.

So far Gerrit has started in 4 games, pitched a total of 28 innings and has faced a total of 103 batters during the 2018 season. Out of those 4 starts Gerrit haas gotten a 2-0 record, an 0.96 ERA, 41 strikeouts and an 0.75 WHIP. Gerrit has also managed to get a 39.8 strikeout percentage, 13.8 strikeuts per every 9 innings pitched and an 6.83 strikeout to walk ratio for the 2018 season.

So far for the 2018 season Max has started in 5 games, pitched a total of 33 innings and has faced a total of a 125 batters this season. Out of those 5 starts Max has gotten a 4-1 record, a 1.36 ERA, 47 strikeouts and an 0.76 WHIP this season. Max has also gotten a 37.6 strikeout percentage, 12.82 strikeouts per every 9 innings pitched and an 6.71 strikeout to walk ratio so far during the 2018 season.

At just 24 years old Jose is the youngest pitcher on this list and has only been in the MLB since 2016. For the 2018 season Jose has started in 4 games, pitched a total of 27.2 innings and has faced a total of 99 batters this season. Out of those 4 games Jose has gotten a 2-1 record, 29 strikeouts, a 1.63 ERA and on 0.58 WHIP. Jose has also gotten a 29.3 strikeout percentage, 9.43 strikeouts per every 9 innings pitched and an 29.00 strikeout to walk ratio for the current 2018 season.
