top 5 breakout hitters of the 2017 mlb season

okay i am back and back with a vengeance. Right now i am here to tell you about the top 5 breakout hitters of the 2017 MLB season. And let me tell you about something. This guy had many doubts about the 2017 mlb season specifically my New York Yankees but i am feeling pretty positive about the Yankees and the MLB right now.

1. Image result for eric thames brewers Milwaukee Brewers First Baseman Eric Thames: Okay no offense to Kim Jung Un but so far the only bombs from Korea that are being dropped on the US is Brewers first baseman Eric Thames. Eric has r He returned to the MLB after a 3 season hiatus from the 2014-2016 MLB seasons to play in South Korea playing for the NC Dinos located in the city of Changwon in the KBO (South Korea equivalent of the MLB) during his time there he became first player in KBO history to hit for the cycle twice in one season and became the first player in KBO history to become a member of the 40-40 club ( hitting 40 home runs and getting 40 stolen bases in one season)

Since leaving the Dinos and South Korea to sign with the brewers in november of 2016 he has been killing it in the MLB and I mean killing it. He leads the MLB in home runs with 11 home runs. Tying the brewers record set by former brewers left fielder and first baseman Carlos Lee. Eric also has 19 RBIS, 26 hits, 25 runs (most in the MLB) 66 total bases (most in the MLB), 17 extra base hits ( tied with brewers teammate Travis Shaw).

Eric also has the 6th best batting average in the MLB this season with a .371 batting average and a .482 on base percentage the third best in the MLB. He currently leads the MLB in slugging percentage with a .929 slugging percentage he also has a 1.393 on base plus slugging percentage the best in the MLB.

2. Image result for mitch haniger mariners Seattle Mariners Center Fielder Mitch Haniger: Mitch is technically a rookie even though he played in 34 games in 2016 with the Arizona Diamondbacks before being traded to the Mariners in november of 2016.

So far this season Mitch has 4 home runs, 27 hits, 20 runs (tied at 3rd most in the MLB this season with Adam Eaton), 16 RBIS, 48 total bases and 12 extra base hits. He also has a .338 batting average, a .442 on base percentage, a .600 slugging percentage and a 1.042 on base plus slugging percentage.

3. Related image New York Yankees Second Baseman Starlin Castro: Okay i am really loving the Yankees now. My heart bleeds pinstripses and it is beating fast because they are killing it now. And i mean killing it now they are 11-7 and have the 4th most home runs and runs in the MLB with 26 home runs and 92 runs i mean they are killing it and you know who really is killing it now on the yankees a man named Starlin Castro.

I mean the guy has 4 home runs this season along with 25 hits (tied with two other players for 6th place in the MLB) 9 runs, 13 RBIS, 40 total bases and 7 extra base hits. Starlin right now has a .357 batting average the 8th highest in the MLB along with a .400 on base percentage, a .571 slugging percentage and a .971 on base slugging percentage

4. Image result for wil myers 2017 San Diego Padres First Baseman Wil Myers: Interesting story while at Barnes & Noble I went up to purchase a magazine and a guy saw it was a fantasy baseball magazine and told me to look into picking up Wil Myers for my fantasy team. I did not do that but i did well ( i got Freddie Freeman on first base so ia m all good) But either way i like Wil a lot. He hit for the cycle this year on april 10th at Coors Field in Denver Colorado against the Colorado Rockies. It was just the second cycle in the Padres franchise history (strange fact the first cycle in Padres franchise history also occurred in Coors Field on august 14th 2015 done by Matt Kemp)

Wil this year has 5 home runs, 14 RBIS, 30 hits (most in the MLB), 14 runs, 55 total bases (4th most in the MLB) and 13 extra base hits. Wil also has been batting .337 this season along with a .355 on base percentage, a .618 slugging percentage and a .973 on base plus slugging percentage. Well it turns out the guy at Barnes and Noble was right Wil is killing it this year.

5. Image result for freddie freeman Atlanta Braves First Baseman Freddie Freeman: Move over Matt Ryan because Atlanta has a new sports star in town who doesn’t blow a 25 point lead. Freddie this season has played in 18 games and has had 63 at bats. And in those 63 at bats and 18 games he has shown complete total domination on the plate.

I mean he has 7 home runs this season ( tied at second with 9 other guys), A  phenomenal .381 batting average (third best in the MLB) the second best on base percentage in the MLB with a .494 on base percentage and the second highest slugging percentage in the MLB as well with a .810 slugging percentage and he has the third best on base plus slugging percentage in the MLB with a 1.103 on base plus slugging percentage. Freddie also has 16 runs, 9 RBIS, 24 hits, 51 total bases and 12 extra base hits
